the ordinary position of an arrow is in pale with the point downward; but it is well to mention this, - when several arrows are used, the bundle is called a sheaf. Three arrows - two in saltire and one in pale, point downward - are the arms of Lowell. Arrows are armed of their point, and feathered of the color of their feathers
